🤖 New Microsoft Teams is AI-powered
Microsoft is releasing a new version of its Teams app that promises to be faster, simpler, and more flexible than the current version.
But what’s most exciting (to people like us) are the fancy new AI features.
In addition to AI-powered video filters, the new Teams has a Copilot assistant. According to the article, “Copilot will let you invite the AI assistant into group chats to perform tasks like schedule meetings, or it will show up in meetings and chats on the sidebar to help with tasks like summarization, recaps, or general questions.
The business chat function of Copilot will also exist in Teams as a chatbot that you can use as a personal assistant to pull data and information from across Microsoft 365 services and apps.”
The preview is only available to commercial users and is not available on Mac yet.

🥊 Bing hits back at rival search chatbots
Microsoft ain’t playing games. The tech giant is reportedly considering barring other companies from using data from its search engine Bing for their own AI chatbots.

This is the latest development in the tech innovation of 2023, as many tech giants fight for supremacy in the Generative AI and AI chatbot markets.
