Greetings, fellow humans. 👋

This is Not A Bot - the newsletter about AI that was definitely not written by AI. I’m Haroon, CEO of Autoblocks and founder of AI For Anyone, and I share the latest news, tools, and resources from the AI space.

Happy Wednesday. Y’all remember FTX? The company that was using a napkin to track its finances? Well... apparently, they are back for round 2, planning to restart as FTX 2.0. This is giving off major Fyre Festival 2 vibes, and I’m not sure what to make of it.

Let’s dive into it…

Have a product, service, job, event, newsletter, app, book, movie, tool, or anything you'd like to share with over 40k subscribers?

🚧 Microsoft is in Build mode

Wow. Big day in the office for Microsoft.

Yesterday was Day 1 of their 3-day Build Conference, and suffice it to say, they came out swinging.

Some huge updates to get to - here’s the tea 🍵.

🔌 Bing Plugins

If you say plugins 3 times, it will bring you good luck 🍀

Microsoft and OpenAI are now jointly committed to supporting and growing the AI plugin ecosystem by embracing interoperability across ChatGPT and the breadth of Microsoft’s copilot offerings.

What does this mean? Plugins are everything, everywhere, all at once.

Builders - you now have the ability to create your own plugins and deploy them across the Microsoft ecosystem.

Pre-installed plugins are also still available, including the following:

Once you build a plugin, you can use them across the entire MS ecosystem:

  • ChatGPT

  • Bing Chat

  • Dynamics 365 Copilot

  • Microsoft 365 Copilot

  • Windows Copilot (continue reading 👀 )

🤝 Bing x ChatGPT

This one’s short and sweet.

Starting today, ChatGPT users will get real-time, up-to-date answers from the web, powered by your favorite browser, ✨Bing✨.

The best part? This is available to all users. Yes, all. AKA you don’t have to pay. AKA thank you, Lord.

🧑‍✈️ Copilot Announcements

Copilot in Windows:

Windows becomes the first ever PC platform to introduce a centralized AI assistant - the Windows Copilot.

The Copilot will live in your taskbar, helping you personalize and navigate through your own PC, making “every user a power user.”

It will allow you to:

  • summarize, rewrite, and explain text

  • adjust your computer’s settings - really anything to improve workflow

  • copy/paste, use Snap Assist, Snipping Tool, personalization, etc.

  • really anything you want.

CoPilot will be available in preview from June.

Copilot in Power BI

With Copilot in Power BI, users can

  • create and tailor reports in seconds

  • generate and edit DAX calculations

  • create narrative summaries

  • ask questions about their data

all in conversational language.

With the ability to easily tailor the tone, scope, and style of narratives and add them seamlessly within reports, Power BI can also deliver data insights to even more people through easy-to-understand text summaries.

Being a PowerBI power user, I can’t wait to start exploring these capabilities.

BYOC (Build your own Copilot)

Through Azure AI studio, developers will now be able to build their own AI Copilot using GPT-4.

Why’s this important? It means that developers can now more easily build conversational AI models on their private data.

  • Customizable dashboard to track all your workflows and tasks.

It even allows for quick access to GitHub, easily installing the tools and packages you need.
