Remember when Sam Altman stated that AI might produce the first-ever single-person $1B company?
Or when Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said that we wouldn’t need to know how to code in the future?
Well, it turns out these guys might have been on to something…
Cognition, an applied AI lab dedicated to unlocking the potential of reasoning AI, just released Devin, the world's first fully autonomous AI software engineer.
According to their blog, Devin:
Can work alongside humans or independently tackle complex tasks.
Boasts advanced capabilities in long-term reasoning and is equipped with developer essentials like shell, code editor, and browser within a secure environment.
Can learn new technologies, build and deploy apps end-to-end, autonomously debug, or even fine-tune AI models.
Plus, when tested on the SWE-bench coding benchmark, Devin resolved an impressive 13.86% of real-world GitHub issues - a monumental leap from the previous best of 1.96%.
Software development might look extremely different towards the end of the year…

For the longest time, Midjourney users have requested one thing: the ability to consistently create the same character across multiple images.
Well, Midjourney finally listened.
With the introduction of the “–cref” tag (character reference), users can now guide Midjourney to maintain the unique features, clothing, and even body type of characters from one image to the next.
How? By linking to a character's image URL, thus preserving narrative continuity in creative projects.
The feature also comes with a “–cw” (character weight) option, enabling artists to control the similarity between the new image and the reference, from perfect replication to slight variations.
While initial tests show room for improvement, the results are promising.
Test it out, and let us know what you think 🎨

In any marketplace app, there is always a risk of inappropriate behavior between customers and contractors.
For DoorDash users and delivery drivers, that risk gets mitigated today.
The food delivery company is setting a new standard in app-based delivery safety with the launch of SafeChat+, an advanced AI-powered feature designed to combat verbal abuse in conversations between customers and Dashers.
Here’s the TL;DR:
How does it work? SafeChat+ monitors in-app interactions, flagging any use of offensive language and providing options to report harassment, contact support, or cancel orders.
The tool processes over 1,400 messages per minute across multiple languages, including English, Spanish, and Mandarin, ensuring a safer environment for all users.
The tool can detect explicit keywords as well as subtle nuances of verbal abuse.

Today’s AI systems work entirely in software.
But what if we were able to give robots those same AI capabilities?
That’s what Physical Intelligence, or PI (π), is aiming to do 🚀
Immense.
I'm starting a company with @brian_ichter, @chelseabfinn, @svlevine, @hausman_k, @QuanVng, and @SurajNair_1 called Physical Intelligence (π.com!). We're bringing general-purpose AI into the physical world.
