… might, in fact, keep the doctor away.
Some big changes are coming to Apple’s health app soon, and thank God for that - I am tired of my Apple Watch yelling at me to breathe every hour.
Apple is developing an AI-based health coach, nicknamed Quartz, that will draw on your Apple Watch data to create personalized programs for exercise, diet, and sleep. It’s set to be launched next year.
If that wasn’t enough, Apple is also bringing the Health app to the iPad and allowing users to track their mood and manage vision issues like nearsightedness.
The Big Bang Theory was years ahead of its time.

Undoubtedly, Apple fans are going to love these updates. Caution to all fanatics: don’t let your heart rate surpass Zone 1. Breathe.
You’ll most likely hear all about these updates at WWDC, coming up on June 5th.

📜 Artifact introduces summaries
Look, I know this newsletter is your source of truth for all the hottest AI news/tips/tweets, etc. (subscribe & share btw)
But if you’ve ever had the urge to dive deep into an AI topic and realized you lacked time to read detailed articles, Artifact has your back.
Artifact, the ‘TikTok of news,’ released a new feature on Tuesday to help summarize articles using AI. And instead of summarizing it in the boring ChatGPT style, you can choose one of the following fun tones:
Explain like I’m Five: simple and concise. Could it really be understood by a 5-year-old? Probably not. But you got this 💪.
Poem: rhymes help you remember
Emoji: we love those here at NAB 🤖 (in case you couldn’t tell)
Gen Z: expect a lot of “OMGs”, hashtags, and ✨yaaasss Queeeen’s✨
While the app cautions that mistakes can be made, this feature provides an entertaining, accessible, and useful way to understand articles quickly.
Check it out, and let us know what you think!

😶 OpenAI answers its critics
After getting banned in a few countries & receiving heavy criticism for lack of data protection, ChatGPT has rolled out an ‘incognito mode’ that allows users to disable their chat history.
This new setting means conversations will be retained for 30 days before being deleted from OpenAI's system. This also means that OpenAI will no longer use your chats to improve current models or train future ones.
Additionally, OpenAI might have just found another revenue stream. In their announcement, they teased ChatGPT Business, a subscription for professionals and enterprises for professionals who need more “control over their data and enterprises seeking to manage their end users.”
And don’t worry - the same chat privacy policies will apply here too.
It looks like a lot of the AI industry is slowly starting to focus on privacy rather than just the size and rapid development of LLM. This focus is timely, given OpenAI’s recent privacy breach, global regulatory concerns, and the enforcement of Europe's GDPR laws.

Snap says its bot won’t notice instantly that you stopped sharing your location [TechCrunch] - Many users were complaining about Snapchat’s My AI bot storing user locations even after they were turned off. It turns out that the bot takes a while to notice if a user stops giving their location. Snap clarified that the bot doesn't know any additional details about the user, and turning off location data means the bot won't be able to give personalized recommendations based on the user's location. TikTok Adds AI Avatar Generation Feature [Gizmodo] - TikTok introduced an AI avatar generator that allows users to upload 3 to 10 photos of themselves so the tech can generate realistic-enough portraits. A pretty cool video - give it a listen!
The last minutes of this hourlong 1985 lecture on computer science by physicist Richard Feynman are a dazzling masterclass in storytelling—and an amusingly wise (and true) story about the ultimate proof we'll need to know artificial intelligence has become all-too-human.
